2026–2027 Academic Year Medical Residency (Core Specialty) Programs

The Center of Postgraduate Education, Graduate School of Medical Science, Mongolian National University of Medical Sciences (MNUMS) is pleased to announce the admission for the 2026–2027 Academic Year Medical Residency (Core Specialty) Programs.

Applications are invited for the residency specialties listed below.

Please note: The examination room schedule will be announced on the MNUMS website after the registration period has closed.

Eligibility

This admission is open only to applicants seeking admission to the Medical Residency (Core Specialty) Programs for the following professional qualifications:

1. Medical Doctor (MD)
2. Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS)
3. Doctor of Traditional Medicine

Registration for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and Subspecialty Training Programs will open on 25 August 2026.

Applicants should access the online admission portal and select the "Postgraduate" section to complete their application.

Important Information for Applicants

1. Professional License Verification

The applicant's professional practice license will be automatically verified through the KHUR e-Service System.

Applicants whose professional licenses have expired or who have not yet obtained a valid professional license are not eligible to register.

2. Professional Qualification Verification

The online application system will automatically verify whether the applicant is a Medical Doctor, Doctor of Dental Surgery, or Doctor of Traditional Medicine through the KHUR e-Service System.

Applicants who graduated from institutions outside Mongolia and whose diploma information is unavailable in the KHUR system must upload:

1. a PDF copy of their diploma; and
2. a certified English translation of the diploma.

3. Login Information

After creating an application, click the "Login" button located in the upper-right corner of the admission portal.

1. Username: Registered email address
2. Password: The eight-digit numerical portion of the applicant's national registration number

Applicants who have not completed the application fee payment may log in again to generate a new QR code and complete the payment.

4. Selection of Specialty

Applicants are advised to select their intended specialty carefully.

Requests to change the selected specialty or modify application information will not be accepted after the registration has been completed.

Entrance Examination

The entrance examination for the Medical Residency (Core Specialty) Programs will be conducted jointly with the Center for Health Development on 19–20 September 2026.

Please note that the entrance examinations organized by the Center for Health Development and MNUMS will be held simultaneously on the same dates and at the same time.

Applicants are therefore strongly advised to choose only one institution and must not submit applications to both institutions, as duplicate registration is not permitted.
