ONLINE MASTER'S PROGRAMMES

The International Cyber Education Centre of the Graduate School is the founder in Mongolia to initiate an online master's degree programme in the medical field. Our programme's implementation was an initiative that developed the first online master's programme in the medical field in Asia. Online master's programme provide a valuable opportunity for healthcare professionals living and working in Mongolian rural areas who can’t achieve on-campus master programme and over workloads to improve their educational degree and careers through flexible, accessible learning options.

The Graduate school of MNUMS offers the 6 online master’s programmes in accordance with the order No. A/147 of the Minister of Education and Science of Mongolia.

Online master’s programme - The programme spans for 2 years (each academic year consists of 2 semesters).

Regulation of the Programme:

  • The academic year of master and doctoral studies consists of 4 semesters with each spanning 16 weeks.
  • Upon the request of a student who did not graduate on time due to the pre-approved reasons, the student will be considered for a one-year extension of graduation (one time) by the professional department, with the decision of the Division of graduate education policy and management.
  • If students are transferred from other accredited programmes, it is possible to transfer the previously earned credits.
  • The research topic and thesis must not be duplicated with other Master's or Doctoral thesis.
  • During the study period, the students must achieve a score of 70% or higher to be considered as complete.
  • The research topic, methods, and a supervisor must be approved by the professional department.
  • Progressive review: Organize discussion with professional experts to review the research proposal.
  • Preliminary Defense: Organize a preliminary defense with at least 7 professional experts to review the research results.
  • Final Defense: The project should be presented to the 11 members of the academic council approved by the Rector of MNUMS. If over 75% of the council members should approve to pass the final defense, according to the blind vote.
