DOCTORAL PROGRAMME

The Mongolian National University of Medical Sciences (MNUMS) offers 11 doctoral programmes, which consist of basic professional, professional, and research courses.

The doctoral programme spans 3 years, with a total of 60 credit hours under the curriculum.

In the doctoral programme, research topics and methods are reviewed and approved by the Professional Department of School and Academic Council. The ethical approval for research, which must prove that the ethical standards have been met in the process of conducting the research, will be reviewed by the Research Ethics and Control Committee of MNUMS.

Upon the completion of the research, doctoral candidates are required to publish two papers in peer-reviewed journals indexed in Web of Science and Scopus as the first author or corresponding author. The thesis will undergo a peer-review process, with the evaluation conducted by an expert approved by the Rector of MNUMS, and will proceed to both preliminary and final defenses.
