INTERNATIONAL CYBER EDUCATION CENTRE
The International Cyber Education Centre aims to provide healthcare professionals with the opportunity to improve educational degree through equal access to learning, regardless of location or time constraints.
On December 9, 1996, by Order No. A/81 of the Rector of MNUMS, the Centre for Continuing Medical Education established the Doctoral and Master's Office, initiating graduate training domestically. Building on 28 years of experience in implementing graduate training, the International Cyber University of Medical Sciences (ICUMS) was established by Order No. B/35 of the Rector of MNUMS on September 7, 2015. When introducing the first Master of Science (online) Programme in Mongolia, the content, technology, and methodology were developed in collaboration with visiting professors Professor Young Moon Chae of Yonsei University in South Korea, an honorary professor at MNUMS, and Professor Meredith Praamsma of Johns Hopkins University, Maryland, USA. The programme was designed to align with international trends in higher education and was initially launched with two public health programmes. By 2016, it had expanded to six programmes.

TRAINING SESSIONS AND MEETINGS FOR STUDENTS IN 2024
When selecting the topic for their research project, Master's students are encouraged to base it on their personal experience as a professional, research interests, and needs for their growth. For example, they can develop a hypothesis and investigate issues or problems relevant to the area where they live or any specific topic of interest to them. These ensure the academic freedom over their research interests.
After the annual admissions process, new students participate in an orientation training that combines in-person and online sessions. This training provides information on the course structure, usage of the learning system, project writing, and the defense process. For the Spring 2024 admissions, an additional session on research methodology was included in the orientation training.
Courses at ICEC employ variety of digital learning and teaching methods as appropriate to engage students to the fullest extent.
